BUILDING KITS

Pennypincher Building cabin, home and barn packages include:

  • Lumber for the exterior shell
  • Hardware
  • Professional Design Engineered Plans.
  • Loft style homes, cabins and barns include the loft space and a standard stair.


You have the option of choosing the type of foundation shown on your plans: monolithic slab, stemwall or (post and beam).  A plywood floor system may be required depending on the kind of foundation you choose.

We order our package materials from a supplier in your location in order to minimize your delivery expense. Accessoriy items ship from our mill in Western Washington and we do our best to get you the best price on shipping on those items.

Engineering for snow or wind load and wet stamping is available for an additional charge.

Converting a loft style kit to a single storey or adding height to your building will alter the price to account for addtional structural engineering and materials. 

NO PERMIT REQUIRED
In most jurisdictions the magic number for constructing a building without a permit is 200 square feet.  There are some counties or cities that have stricter regulations and you may need to stay under 120 square.  No worries! We have a variety of styles in those sizes too. We think the 10' x 12' and 14' x 14' are two of the most efficient sizes for small cabins,small barns and tiny house.
