Building Kit Assembly

 

Pennypincher Cabin Kits and Barn Kits efficient design makes for straightforward assembly
by a builder, handy man, barn raiser or moderately skilled homeowner.

The following photos chronicle the construction of an RV Garage. 
 
 barn assembly
The site is cleared in preparation for installing the foundation.
 cabin foundation
The site is excavated, base gravel has been laid, the forms are set and ready for the concrete slab to be poured.
 barn foundation
The concrete has set and the forms have been stripped. 
The slab is now ready for framing to start.
 construct a barn

Framing has started and two side walls are up. 
Notice that these walls are built standing up, and not on the ground,
so you don't need a large crew.

build a cabin 
The sidewall framing is completed and ready for posts and beams to be installed. 
 cabin construction
The posts and beams are installed.
 loft construction
The loft floor has been installed.
 cabin construction
The RV Bay trusses and the rafters have been installed.  The roof system is taking shape.
 cabin building
The roof sheathing is nearly complete. 
The kit is now ready for siding and additional interior framing.
 garage construction
The bulk of the building has been sided, some battens are on, and flashing has been placed.
 cabin assembly
Most of the doors and windows have been installed, and the roof is ready to shingle.
loft construction 
The loft is complete and the building is now dried in.
 finishing a barn or cabin
The building is now complete and ready for paint or stain.
