Pennypincher's Pioneer style barns are very versatile and spacious single level buildings. When used with different foundations, Pioneer building kits make great cabins, small houses, animal barns, garages, workshops, business space, or homes. Framing methods can be post frame (pole barns), stick frame, modern timber frame, modern post frame or a combination.
Our Pioneer barns are the easiest and the least expensive to build. When ordered with 14’ tall doors, they make great RV storage buildings. Dress them up with Pennypincher's rustic barn accessories for a classic western cabin or barn look. Standard sizining starts at 16' wide. Commons widths are 24', 32', 36', 48' with varying lengths but other sizing is available. We custom size each kit so please call for pricing. The side shed, or porch, is the smaller portion of the building attached at the side wall.
Side sheds may be 4', 6', 8', 10', or 12' wide depending on the size of the building. For example, by adding (2) 8' side sheds to a 24' Pioneer the overall width would be 40'. By designing our kits this way we are able to offer you the best designed, quality, most affordable cabin or barn. - Standard siding is plywood siding like T1-11 or LP Smart Siding with grooves 8"oc for reverse Board & Batten effect.
- Glulam Beams, Timbers or Composite Beams.
- T&G Plywood or OSB floor decking for loft floors.
